'The Garfield Movie' Ending Explained: Spirited Garfield and Otto team up to fight the evil Jinx

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Garfield Movie' will be in theatres from May 24, 2024, and it follows the story of Garfield (Chris Pratt) and his father Vic (Samuel L Jackson).
'The Garfield Movie' is directed by Mark Dindal and it stars Samuel L Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Nicholas Hoult, Ving Rhames, Chris Pratt, and Harvey Guillén in important roles.
'The Garfield Movie' is about Garfield, a lazy cat who loves to eat, and his estranged father with whom he must carry out a heist to be free from the clutches of Jinx (Hannah Waddingham), an evil cat who wants revenge from Vic. The heist doesn't go according to plan and Vic gets kidnapped by Jinx again as Garfield gets arrested. Garfield is bailed out by Jon Arbuckle (Nicholas Hoult) who takes him home. So does Garfield save Vic?

Garfield discovers his father's truth
Garfield discovers a tree outside Jon's house where he sees tally marks made by his father Vic. He discovers that his father never really deserted him and was keeping a watchful eye on him and seeing him grow up with the comforts that Jon could offer him.
He then teams up with Odie (Harvey Guillén) and Otto (Ving Rhames) who help him attack Jinx and save his father. The plan is partially successful but they end up getting caught by Roland (Brett Goldstein) and Nolan (Bowen Yang).
Roland and Nolan go against Jinx and Otto saves them from a fall
Roland and Nolan have had enough of Jinx's ways and they decide to go against her. But in a comical moment, they all fall off the train. Otto saves them from the fall and they finally escape the clutches of Jinx.
Garfield and the team co reunite Otto with the love of his life after making a deal with Marge (Cecily Strong). Garfield says a final goodbye to his father before going back to Jon's house.
Garfield and Vic are finally together
Garfield goes inside and is planning to have his favorite meal when he misses his father. He goes out looking for Vic who is nowhere to be found.
Garfield finds Vic still living on the tree outside his house. They reconcile and decide to live together. Jon is all too happy to live with them and pamper them in their house.
The movie ends with Garfield, Odie, and Vic all living together in Jon's house as one happy family.
