LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Flash' has managed to offer fans a new look for Barry Allen's suit along with that of Supergirl and the other Barry suit. With two universes colliding and the movie following the plot of 'The Flashpoint Paradox', fans were expecting some changes in the suits of both the Barrys and were excited to know if they would gain any new powers.

With the trailers depicting Barry Allen going back in time to save his mother, it was evident that he ended up creating an alternate timeline where there were no metahumans or superheroes. However, to rectify his mistakes, he did work on giving the alternate Barry the power and a brand-new suit.

From the trailers, it seems as if Barry Allen's suit in 'The Flash' is different from the ones he previously wore. While in other movies of 'Snyderverse' Barry wore suits made by himself, it is likely that after Justice League, Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth helped him don a new one. Barry Allen's red suit protects his identity and it bears a golden lightning bolt design.

The suit worn by Ezra Miller's Barry in the earlier movies was made by him using silica-based quartz sand fabric. The suit was abrasion and heat-resistant but it looked like numerous pieces were being sewn together to make one piece. However, when compared to Barry's appearance in 'The Flash', it looks like the suit has gotten an upgrade and looks like a finished product that can be stored in a ring. The color has been changed to scarlet.

Alternate Barry's suit

The Flash's Barry Allen going back in time resulted in him coming face to face with alternate Barry who is not a meta-human. However, to save the universe from collapsing he tries to contact Michael Keaton's Batman to help alternate Barry and make him a new suit. Alternate Barry's Flash suit seems to have been made by altering one of Keaton's Batman suits.

Does Barry get new powers?

The strengths of Barry Allen encompass super speed, super strength, time travel, dimensional travel, creating time remnants, electro kinesis, speed thinking, speed stealing and even detective skills. Even though it is unclear whether he gets new powers or not, the alternate Barry gets a different origin story and the original Barry. Original Barry realizes that in an attempt to save his family, he created a world where there were no meta-humans, no Superman, and was susceptible to alien threats.

It is unclear whether alternate Barry realizes his potential of handling the speedforce. Barry does realize his potential of manipulating the speed force but he does not know that he can become one himself. Fandomwire reported that the new movie will get to see the abilities of The Dark Flash even though the details of his suit and powers are unclear. Instead of Reverse Flash, the movie will have The Dark Flash trying to engage in a battle with original Barry. 'The Flash' is set to release on June 16, 2023.
