'The Flash' Season 6: Did the 'Crisis' teaser and synopsis essentially ruin the intrigue factor of the show's mid-season finale?

Well, yes and no. The second part of the mid-season finale, 'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2' will deal with the consequences of Barry siding with Bloodwork while the team attempts to undo the damage.

'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 1' and 'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2' were mid-season finale episodes of season 6. The Arrowverse shows will be airing the five-part epic crossover, 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' and 'The Flash' will have its episode on December 10. There have been teasers, promos and synopsis' about the multiverse-shattering battle which will finally decide Barry's (Grant Gustin) fate.

'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 1' saw the Scarlet Speedster go dark and become the Negative Flash after being affected by Bloodwork (Dr Ramsey Rosso played by Sendhil Ramamurthy). While the Speed Force attempts to help him resist Bloodwork's ill-temptations, the move proves futile as Barry eventually embraces his dark side.

Fans, however, seem to have been a tad miffed that the 'Crisis' teasers have spoiled the mid-season finale. Especially with the Negative Flash storyline.

The 'Crisis' teaser shows a battle-ready Barry with the rest of the superheroes implying he has managed to get back to normal. The second part of the mid-season finale, 'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2' will deal with the consequences of Barry siding with Bloodwork while the team attempts to undo the damage. While it is safe to assume that they will be successful, the plot behind it makes it a compelling watch and is worth the wait. Except, not all fans are pleased.

That Barry is all normal and raring to go in the 'Crisis' may have spoiled the mid-season finale. But it won't take away the fact that Gustin did a tremendous job playing a distraught hero who hasn't come to terms about dying in the impending 'Crisis'.

What are your thoughts on the 'Crisis' promos spoiling the mid-season finale?

'The Flash' Season 6 airs Tuesdays 8 pm on The CW.
