'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 11: Mirror Iris proves a tough cookie, leaves Barry and fans in a muddle

Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen had some issues to discuss in the latest episode of 'The Flash'

Unique, strange and bizarre, that's what could be said about the latest 'The Flash' episode, rightly titled 'Love Is A Battlefield'. In the previous episode, we saw Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) being absorbed into the Mirror World and a new version taking her place. This new Iris is quite a tough cookie.

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is rather puzzled with her strange behavior. In a steely tone, she reminds him that she isn't a damsel in distress anymore and that while he was so preoccupied with the Crisis, she had to get used to the idea of a life without him. Barry gets worried that Iris 'outgrew' him, and is much more at peace after Joe gives him his patented fatherly advice.

The two patched up at the end of the episode, and the real Iris, who is trapped in a mirror, yells frantically to Barry who obviously can't hear her.

It has been a while since we saw some relationship drama on The CW show and fans are in a twist. A fan tweeted, "BARRY IS WORRIED IRIS OUTGREW HIM IM CRYINGG."

"I like how Iris is trapped and the first thing she says is “Get away from him, lmao don’t fuck with Iris man," another wrote.

Considering the real Iris does not know how to cook, Barry's first clue should have been the well-made pancakes mirror Iris presented in the morning. "Watch Evil Iris know how to cook and that’s how Barry figures it out," tweeted a fan.

When Bloodwork had possessed Barry, Iris had instantly known that something was off. "I still can’t believe Barry couldn’t tell their was something off with Iris when she knew something was off with him in 607 after a few seconds," wrote a fan.

A fan tweeted, "The juxtaposition of Barry holding on tightly to who he believes is his Iris in contented relief after the brief panic of him fearing he was growing apart from her while his actual Iris is behind him screaming desperately for him to realize that’s not her."

'The Flash' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
