NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘The Five’ host Jesse Watters has lashed out furiously at Dr Anthony Fauci for "lying" to the American people about masks curbing the spread of Covid on a larger scale.

Fauci was branded as a liar when, during a CNN interview, he admitted that “data” when it comes to the potency of masks to help prevent the spread of Covid at an epidemic level was “less strong.” However, he continued to stand by his claims that masks do work on an individual level.

This did not sit well with the Fox News host who, while moderating a segment on ‘The Five’, slammed Fauci for all his "lies" and asked him to just “retire.”

Jesse Watters slams Anthony Fauci for comment on efficacy of masks against Covid

Watters started his rant against Fauci on ‘The Five’ after learning about his admission that masks "didn’t work" against Covid on an epidemic level, but only on an individual level.

Jessica Tarlov, Dana Perino, Judge Jeanine, and Greg Gutfeld all laughed when Watters compared Fauci to the baseball player Tony Romo and stated that like Romo, Fauci “retires and then offers color commentary every Sunday.”

Watters then offered a sarcastic piece of advice for the former Chief Medical Advisor to the President of the United States and said, “Do what everybody else does. Retire and go fishing and shut the heck up.”

The Fox News host then went on to add that Fauci should be in a “super max prison” for “booting the pandemic” and instilling fear in the American people.

Watters compared the plight of America to Africa and reminded the viewers that their country had it worse than the entire African continent.

Watters said, “You know there are countries in Africa where there wasn’t a single Covid death. What Fauci did to this country by shutting everything down, the economy, the schools, and destroyed a generation’s education.”

He then blamed that all of it happened only “because of Dr Fauci.”

Later, Watters’ co-host asked Gutfeld asked him, “Are you saying he’s the most evil man alive?” Watters responded without a beat, “He’s up there.”
