She declares herself to be a "glammy." She dislikes the title "grandma" because she believes she is "too fabulous" for it. Royal, according to Karen, moved far away with Angenette. They didn't want to deal with the burden of the family conflict. Karen reveals that her son and daughter-in-law believed that the only way to start a family was to live apart from them.
