Hollywood has a knack for repackaging the old stuff and presenting it as something new with plot twists and better storylines. However, that doesn’t mean that it works all the time. But, it has definitely worked for CBS as ‘The Equalizer’ garnered a lot of love from the viewers. After seeing the fan reaction and good ratings, the network is set to come out with the second season of the show featuring Queen Latifah in the lead role.

The show revolves around an enigmatic woman named Robyn McCall (Latifah), who has a mysterious background and uses her skills to help vulnerable people. However, she comes across to most like an average single mom, who is quietly raising her teenage daughter. But to a trust few, she is ‘The Equalizer’, a defender of the downtrodden.
