'The Duchess' is Katherine Ryan's new Netflix comedy series where she is seen as a disruptive yet fashionable mother living in London with her daughter Olive. Interestingly enough she debates on getting pregnant again because she loves her daughter so much, but is her ex the right person to have another baby with? Here is all you need to know about the upcoming comedy 'The Duchess.'

Release date

'The Duchess' premieres on Friday, September 11, 2020, with six episodes.

Plot

The official synopsis reads, "Katherine's a single mom juggling her career, her tween daughter, her relationship with her boyfriend — and pondering getting pregnant with her ex. Katherine Ryan ("Glitter Room") stars in this raunchy comedy she wrote and produced based on her life in London."

"The Duchess is super authentic I think to my personality, to my stage persona, because it’s a disruptive mum who’s a bad person but a good mum. She’s fashionable, she loves being a mother she’s not sad about it — it’s me, yes. The rest is fiction, but it is a heightened version of me, and I’m really lucky because they’re just letting me go and write the real thing that I would have wanted to, and I don’t think I would have been as lucky with a traditional network, I don’t think they would give me the same liberty that Netflix does. It’s gonna be fun," Ryan said to RadioTimes.com at the South Bank Show Awards in July.
