There are a lot of bizarre theories on 'The Curse Of Oak Island', but the latest Knight's Templar theory beats all. The Laginas have been hunting for evidence for years regarding activity of the Knights Templar — and when we say looking for evidence, they've found solace in the strangest of theories that the Medieval Christian Sect had buried treasure on the island.

Last season, their fellow historians had told them that there was a geometric figure in Nicolas Poussin's paintings, which could lead to the buried treasure. This geometric figure was nothing less than a treasure map. In Episode 4, the team found a "perfect line" that starts from Jerusalem, that leads through Versaille, and ends at Oak Island. Could this be the origins of the Oak Island mystery?

They're sure that the Knights Templar dug up Solomon treasure that consisted of Menorah, that *could* have been taken to North America for safekeeping. The Menorah could have been buried at Oak Island. In Episode 5, the theory gains more fuel as Erin Helton decides to interpret the ancient Zena Halpern's map, which again discusses "strategically" placed boulders, that *might* point to the Money Pit. Of course, they are sure that this points to proof that the Templars sailed to Oak Island.

Except, fans call it bluff.

"#CurseOfOakIsland How is it thatOak Island is lined up with the Palace of Versailles and the Temple Mount, that a grid that was designed to resemble a menorah, etc., all lining up to mark a site of buried treasure, all plotted out hundreds of years ago. Yet today....," a fan tweeted. "#OakIslandCursers #curseofoakisland Erin has them all in the palm of her hand," another wrote. Of course, fans can't stop poking fun at the whole idea. " IF WE CIRCLE THE ISLAND AND DRAW LINES THRU EVERYTHING WE'LL GET SOMETHING?" another tweeted.

Other fans are asking why are the Laginas and team always obsessed with boulders? It remains to be seen if Erin's work pays off, and whether the boulders actually point to the original Money Vault....but forgive us for being a little sceptical.

'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on History Channel, Tuesdays at 9 pm.
