Human activity on the island? From the 1400s? Is that a possibility?  The team has been discussing it in every episode of 'The Curse Of Oak Island'? In the upcoming episode of the History Channel show, Alex Lagina finds a human shoe. What could that possibly mean? The synopsis of the episode reads, "While searching the spoils excavated from the Money Pit area, Alex Lagina discovers evidence of human activity dating back to 1492."

Season 8 has been a bit of a whirlwind and there have been more hints of gold buried on the island. In the premiere of Season 8, the team did find something suspicious-looking — gold in the murky depths of the island. They sent a diver down there to investigate and the diver let the shiny coin-like structure slip through his fingers. So, the coin plunged even further and we still don't know what it was. In Episode 11, Gary Drayton discovered 'gold', till Laird burst his bubble and said it was just gold paint. However, it turns out, the artifact was from a chest and it could be a treasure chest. Another thing, they might have also found a connection between the mound and the swamp. There are a lot of mysteries that the island holds close to its chest and the team isn't even close to solving most of them, but that doesn't stop their determination.  They're sure that there has been a lot of activity on the island: Knight's Templar to British industrialists, Chinese people from 900 AD, pirates, to Spanish and French cavalry burying treasure there. The theories have taken a life of their own this season and Erin Helton's boulder theory was just one of them.

Apart from this, they've found oxen feet and more nails. They're sure that they've discovered an ox foot trail, which is proof that the oxen used to unload something into the Money Pit..but what? And when will we learn what the mysterious anomaly in the swamp is? Is the mound really spoils for the Money Pit? Burning questions that still need to be answered.
