‘The Christmas Edition’ will premiere on Sunday, November 15, at 8 pm ET on Lifetime.

Plot

The official synopsis for the film reads, “It’s Christmas time and Jackie (Carly Hughes), an up-and- coming journalist, finds that her life is at a crossroads until she finds an unexpected opportunity – to run a small-town newspaper in Alaska. Jackie decides to give it a try and relocates to the small picture-perfect small town. Using a series of Christmas articles, she’s able to quickly return the newspaper to profitability, and soon falls in love… both with her new home and the handsome son of the paper’s former owner. However, when her old boss announces plans to take over the paper for herself, Jackie will need a Christmas miracle to save it.”

Rob Mayes is an American actor, musician and model, best known for starring in 2012’s horror film ‘John Dies at the End’ and portraying Tommy Nutter in the comedy-drama series ‘Jane by Design’. He plays the role of Finn in ‘The Christmas Edition’. Mayes film credits include, ‘Deep Blue Sea 2’, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, ‘Enough Said’ and ‘Ice Castles’.

Marie Osmond

Marie Osmond (Lifetime)

American singer, actress and author Marie Osmond plays the role of Melanie in ‘The Christmas Edition’. She gained prominence as a solo country music artiste in the 1970s and 80s. Osmond has featured in films such as ‘The Road Home for Christmas as Cassie’, ‘Side by Side’ and ‘I Married Wyatt Earp’.

‘The Christmas Edition’ is directed by Peter Sullivan while, Barry Barnholtz, Zelma Kiwi and Jeffrey Schenck have served as the executive producers.
