'The Challenge: Double Agents' reunion part I came with its share of surprises. Even though the blame game, name-calling and drama reached a fever pitch, viewers appeared more drawn to winner Chris 'CT' Tamburello's leaner frame.

Previously, he was pulled up and singled out for putting on weight and subsequent fitness issues. But for Season 36, he wanted to change all of that and more. CT had already shed the extra kilos when the show aired and from what it looks like, he continued to work on his health even after filming ended.

How did CT lose weight?

An exact number is not known but CT's weight loss transformation is evident and aspiring in equal measure. His journey to physical fitness was not easy and not a linear path. CT had to first improve his mental health before he could do push-ups. "If you're not mentally strong, it's going to eat you alive," he told Men's Health recently.

What seems to have worked for the reality TV star seems to be the fact that he has been aware of his age. "You know, I'm getting older now, so I have to be conscious in really taking care of my body, from supplements to recovery," he said and added he lifts, stretches, eats well and is careful with the supplements.

"But I wish I had listened to every coach I ever had when I was growing up when it comes to taking care of my body, recovery and stretching, moving up, what you eat and all that. And I'm paying for it now," CT shared.

Even though, he lifts and is focused on functional training, CT's favorite thing to do at the gym is to run. For him, it's "therapeutic" and helps burn "anxious energy." However, he cannot run too much because then the knees begin to hurt. Therefore, he throws in some swimming too to make the sessions interesting. "I like to do circuit training where it's more about how many reps I can get in a minute compared to how much weight I can put up if that makes sense," CT added.

'Proud of CT'

Meanwhile, fans have weighed in with their two cents on the matter.  "But for real though. What did CT do to get back in shape? I haven’t had a jaw line since college. Would be nice to see that in the mirror again," one commented, another shared: "CT giving us early 2000s CT with this weight loss and I am here for it." "CT lost mad weight! Proud of him," a third pointed out.

CT, along with Amber Borzotra, won 'The Challenge: Double Agents.' The partners walked away with $1 million.
