'The Bold And The Beautiful' Spoilers: Will Steffy and Liam come clean about their drunken tryst?

Thomas Forrester (Michael Atkinson) hit his head, had hallucinations that a Hope-lookalike mannequin is coming to life and seducing him, and then passed out. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) walked in on Thomas kissing the mannequin but thought it was actually his wife, Hope Logan (Annika Nicole). Liam then goes to vent to Thomas' sister and Liam's ex, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and proceeded to sleep with her.
Thomas is now in the hospital and Liam has learned that Hope did not actually cheat on him as he learns the truth about the mannequin and Thomas. In the latest episode, Liam's horror grows as he realizes what a grave mistake he made. Hope explains that she would never cheat on him as he flashes back to him sleeping with Steffy.
In the previous episode, Hope explains to Liam in detail what really happened — that she just had dinner with Thomas and her son, Douglas, and went back home. She briefly returned to retrieve her purse, but what Liam saw wasn't Thomas kissing her, but the mannequin and that she realized it herself when she checked on him after Steffy's boyfriend, Dr. John "Finn" Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), asked her to do so.
She is the one who brought Thomas to the hospital after he collapsed, much to Steffy's and Ridge Forrester's (Thorsten Kaye) gratitude. Now, Hope is quite clueless over what went down between Liam and Steffy because of what Liam thought happened — that Hope had cheated on him. In the previous episode, Liam comes clean to Steffy about what had happened.
If fans recall, Steffy had expressed her doubts over Hope cheating on Liam with Thomas, and it seems she has been proven right. After Hope leaves the hospital to be with Douglas, Liam stays at the hospital to give her updates. Then, Liam and Steffy have a private conversation, as Liam reveals with a lot of difficulty that he was wrong and that Thomas is actually sick and did not do what Liam accused him of doing.
So, what comes next? Now that Steffy realizes that the whole pretext for Liam sleeping with her was based on a false premise, will she reflect much more deeply on her mistake? Will she need to reevaluate her relationship with Finn? In the next episode, Liam and Steffy will have to figure out what their next move is. It is clear that there is still something between the two of them and perhaps their sleeping together was not just a drunken tryst, but something more.
Maybe, as Liam had suggested, they do belong together. But where will that leave Hope and Finn, who have been nothing but concerned individuals who went out of their way to help Thomas? We also have to keep in mind that Thomas' life is still in danger. Finn had informed Ridge that since he will have to operate on Thomas' brain, it will be risky.
