'The Bold and the Beautiful' Spoilers: Thomas needs surgery, is it finally the end for Liam and Hope's marriage?
Spoilers for 'The Bold and the Beautiful'
Thomas Forrester (Michael Atkinson) hit his head, had hallucinations that a Hope-lookalike mannequin is coming to life and seducing him, and then passed out. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) walked in on Thomas kissing the mannequin but thought it was actually his wife, Hope Logan (Annika Nicole). Liam then goes to vent to Thomas' sister and Liam's ex, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and proceeded to sleep with her.
Thomas is now in the hospital and Liam has learned that Hope did not actually cheat on him as he learns the truth about the mannequin and Thomas. In the latest episode, Liam's horror grows as he realizes what a grave mistake he made. Hope explains that she would never cheat on him as he flashes back to him sleeping with Steffy.
At the hospital, Steffy tries to reassure Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) who is panicking over Thomas not having woken up yet. He is frustrated and wants to know what’s wrong with Thomas. Steffy's boyfriend, Dr John "Finn" Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) appears and informs that Thomas suffered a subdural hematoma and has been having seizures and that Thomas may need surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. When Hope and Liam arrive and the former explains the presence of the mannequin, Steffy and Liam exchange panicked glances. Finn then tells them that Thomas is getting worse and has to be rushed into emergency surgery, as Steffy worries about the outcome.
Meanwhile, at Forrester Creations, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) speaks with Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) over Zoe Buckingham's (Kiara Barnes) involvement with Hope's line, even after her involvement with stealing Hope and Liam's baby. Zende noted that both Zoe and Thomas have come a long way since then. They also talk about the recent positive changes in Thomas, and Zende hoped that Thomas was the real deal, since he had such a bright future ahead of him.
As 'The Bold and the Beautiful' returns for a new episode on Tuesday, December 8, Thomas's life hangs in the balance. Now, Thomas has been through many scrapes during his long history on the show so it is quite likely that he will make it. What we need to see is, however, the fates of the relationships of the people around him. Will Steffy and Liam reveal their dalliance to their respective partners? And if so, how will they react? Will Hope take it as a sign that she should end her relationship with Liam and will that mean she will give Thomas another chance? We can't even imagine how Finn would feel given that he had dutifully checked on Steffy's brother when no one else did and is even working diligently to save him. Will he choose to forgive Steffy? And if that happens, does that leave Liam as the odd one out?
Whatever the case, we hope this messed up, slightly incestuous love pentagon comes to an end by the end of the year.
