'The Blacklist' Season 7 Episode 4: Tricking everyone into thinking he is Ilya Koslov may be Reddington's biggest con yet

As one of the more observant fans of the show points out, Harold is being naive and gullible is he is taking everything Red says at face value.

We know Harold (Harry Lennix) to be an ethical man, and it doesn't surprise us that in the upcoming Season 7 Episode 4 of 'The Blacklist' he is planning on coming clean about an update he has about Red's (James Spader) identity. He learned earlier this season from Liz (Megan Boone) that Red is not actually the man he knows from Kuwait, the man who he has a long-time association with, but he is someone named Ilya Koslov, who has stolen Red's identity.

In the trailer for the aptly titled 'Kuwait' we see Harold confronting Red with this information and telling him that he has no choice but to come clean about it. We see Red, who admits that he knew he was on borrowed time ever since Liz found out the truth, trying to dissuade him - albeit halfheartedly. He reminds Harold that if the word gets out, the Task Force he has so lovingly and painstakingly built from the ground up would be shut down. He also not-so-subtly tries to threaten him regarding his own secrets from Kuwait, but that doesn't work either.

Harold's intentions are clear but the consequences of his actions are not. However, what we suspect is that everything is actually going exactly as Red planned. 'The Blacklist' fans have been studying him for seven years now and it is clear that he wants Harold and the rest of the world to believe that he is Ilya Koslov. As one of the more observant fans of the show points out, Harold is being naive and gullible if he is taking everything Red says at face value.

"biggest con of all time this red is the real reddington, for all we know he wasn't killed that night and killed llya and used the DNA blacklister to change llya DNA to his. the ultimate con of all cons [sic]", writes a fan in the YouTube comments section under the trailer for the upcoming episode, and we have to say we believe this is the most plausible theory.  We look forward to watching Red puppeteer the people around him in the upcoming Season 7 Episode 4 of 'The Blacklist' titled 'Kuwait' on Friday, October 25.
