'The Bachelorette' Season 16: When will Tayshia Adams replace Clare Crawley as the new bachelorette?

Season 16 of 'The Bachelorette' is being promoted as one of the most dramatic seasons of the franchise, and rightfully so. Clare Crawley, who was announced as the new bachelorette made history after becoming the oldest bachelorette of the franchise, and also possibly being the shortest lead of the franchise. After quarantining herself, and beginning to film for the season, Clare reportedly fell head over heels in love with one of the contestants and refused to go on dates with anybody else.

Clare was so taken by a contestant named Dale Moss, that she showered all her attention on him. According to the grapevine, Dale also managed to win the first impression rose from Clare on night one! A season of the franchise is shot usually in a span of five weeks. However, our bachelorette wasn't willing to lead on other men, nor waste her time, after meeting Dale, so she quit the show after just twelve days of filming.

Since Clare found what she came looking for in just 12 days, the showrunners had no choice but to find a replacement for their lead. So mid-season, they began reaching out to the "backup contestants," and roped in Tayshia Adams. So, we can expect Tayshia to replace Clare quite early on in the season. Since neither ABC nor Warner Bros, have confirmed anything about Clare leaving the season midway, it's all a speculation.

Clare first appeared on 'The Bachelor' in Season 18 of the franchise, while Juan Pablo Galavis was the bachelor. She became wildly popular after she called out Juan for disrespecting her during the final rose ceremony. Clare declaring that she'd never want her daughter to have a father like him, and walking out on him before he could even dump her became an iconic scene of the franchise. Although she didn't find love on 'The Bachelor', she went on to appear on the first two seasons of 'The Bachelor in Paradise', and even 'Bachelor Winter Games'. Looks like Clare finally found her love.

Tayshia, on the other hand, appeared in Colton Underwood's Season 23 of 'The Bachelor'. She was one of the top two finalists on the show, until Colton quit the show to pursue Cassie Randolph. Tayshia eventually appeared on 'Bachelor in Paradise' and was briefly with John Paul Jones before splitting.

'The Bachelorette' Season 16 premieres on Tuesday, October 13, at 8/7c only on ABC.
