'The Bachelorette': Who's Clare's mom? Fans ask why she's on the show instead of being with her 'dying mother'
The Clare Crawley and Yosef Aborady meltdown is easily one of the talking points of this week's episode of 'The Bachelorette'. The show's loyalists have taken to social media to debate whether or not it was needed and who was right in what went down between the two.
Ever since the strip dodgeball game was announced, Yosef was visibly upset with how Clare approved the idea of getting men naked on national television. He confronted Clare about the same and told her that every minute he was spending with her meant being away from her daughter. He added that participating in the game would set a bad example for his child.
Clare acknowledged Yosef's sentiments towards the game and tried to show empathy by saying she understood what it must feel like because she has a "dying mother" back home. However, he was more focused on how "classless" and "oldest" of bachelorettes she is, which ticked Clare off and she asked Yosef to leave the mansion immediately, which he did but not before making a few inappropriate comments about her.
Who's Clare's mother?
Clare's mother Lilia lives out of a care facility because she is battling Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Clare worries about her mother and the pandemic has only made it worse. She told Eonline how she has not been able to see and hug her for a few months now.
Meanwhile, fans cannot stop slamming Clare for being on a reality show instead of being there for her sick and dying mother.
"Can’t believe you’re doing this show rather than your being with your dying mom," a user commented on the show's Facebook page, while another posted on the same thread: "yeah, how about that??? Worst daughter. Worst mother-to-be in one night!!"
"She is so immature and self absorbed. REALLY YOUR MOM IS DYING AND YOUR DOING AN FNNNNNN REALITY SHOW! SICK!" a fan expressed. "Omg I’m a little behind and just watched this scene! I remember when my dad was dying I was with him for 10 months every second i could with 3 very young children I juggled my time. When she said that I almost threw my glass at the tv!!!" another wrote.
