'The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!' is the summer replacement for Season 16 of 'The Bachelorette'. The latter was supposed to start airing in May this year, however, the Covid-19 pandemic made it impossible for the season to be shot. To keep the spirits of Bachelorverse high, ABC decided to come up with 'The Greatest Seasons', each episode of which is a recap of some of the most popular seasons from one of TV's most successful franchises ever.

ABC first started airing 'The Bachelor' in 2002 and the popularity of the show gave rise to a number of spin-offs including 'The Bachelorette', 'Bachelor Pad', 'Bachelor in Paradise', 'The Bachelor Winter Games' and 'Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise'. The new addition to the franchise,'The Greatest Seasons' aired every Monday night since June 8, except for July 13 where the network aired 'CMA Best of Fest' and on July 27. For audiences expecting the episode to air tonight, we have news for you. The show is not returning to TV tonight and it won't be for the next week as well.

The two-week break starting August 17 and next week on August 24 is because August 17 marked the start of the week of the Democratic National Convention while the next week is the Republican National Convention. 'The Greatest Seasons' will be back on ABC on August 31 and will condense the season highlights from the 21st season of 'The Bachelor' that was fronted by Nick Viall.

'The Greatest Seasons' to date has aired three-hour-long recap episodes of Sean Lowe, JoJo Fletcher, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Ben Higgins, Brad Womack, Ali Fedotowsky and Alex Michel's seasons. Last week was Jason Mesnick's season recap and audiences were once again able to relive the season which is also touted to be one of the craziest seasons of all time, courtesy its ending where Mesnick dumped his fiance Melissa Rycroft at the 'final rose' ceremony and chose Molly Malaney, to whom he's happily married. The quarantine special show is hosted by Chris Harrison from the confines of his home and apart from season highlights, it also airs unseen footage and exclusive interviews with people who've appeared on the show.

'The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!' will return on August 31 at 8 pm only on ABC.
