'The Bachelor' Season 24: Fans don't seem too fond of Hannah Ann's 'bold' moves or her 'normal girl' intro
Out of all the girls, this season on 'The Bachelor' featuring Peter Weber in the hot seat, Texas model Hannah Ann appears to have made the strongest impression. After the massive three hour premiere last Monday, it would be safe to say that Hannah emerged as a strong contender.
She not only managed to get herself time with Peter thrice, but she also angered one of the other contestants so much she had to be given a talking to.
While Peter called her "bold" as he gave her the First Impression rose first, not everyone in the fandom appears to be fond of Hannah and her boldness. They also think she has been trying too hard, right from her introduction to appear "normal" making her "fake." One fan of the show said, "Hannah Ann looks like the type of girl who bullies you in middle school but is really nice around your mom and teachers."
Another fan pointed out her introduction. "I’m so fascinated by her edit. Like she didn’t come across as a real person it was so weird and hilarious at the same time. Another noted, "When she said 'I’m just a normal girl' and started staring at the camera blinking I DIED. How are we not talking about this more?"
One Twitter fan said, "First time watching the bachelor: aww Hannah Ann seems so sweet 10 minutes later: welp she might be a psycho" Some fans also took it personally, "Knoxville is really represented badly in the Bachelor franchise... first Jed and now Hannah Ann.... America, I promise we’re not all like this," tweeted one.
One Reddit user compared her to cilantro. "I feel like Hannah Ann is the cilantro of bachelor contestants. People who love cilantro are like, 'Mmm this is great! More cilantro, plz'. Then, there are those people who think cilantro tastes like soap. And they're saying, 'Cilantro is garbage! You're garbage for liking it!'. In summation, people are born with a specific gene that dictates whether or not they like Hannah Ann," the user said.
However, Peter did seem to be genuinely interested in Hannah, so it's too early to tell if this backlash would make much of a difference to Hannah A on 'The Bachelor'.
