'The Atypical Family' revolves around Bok Gwi-joo and his family, all endowed with supernatural abilities.

Gwi-joo can travel through time, while the matriarch, Bok Man-heum, can foresee the future. His sister, Dong-hee, can fly, but the youngest, Bok Yi-na, hasn't shown any powers yet.

However, modern-day issues start affecting their abilities, from insomnia to smartphone addiction. When Do Da-hae enters their lives, she becomes instrumental in sparking change, leading the family to believe she holds the key to restoring their powers.

The official synopsis similarly reads, "Bok Gwi-joo's family has supernatural abilities. He can revisit happy past moments. Depression causes him to lose this power. His family also loses abilities due to modern issues. Do Da-he joins their household, instigating change."
