Lifetime will launch its new bundle of true-crime docuseries, dubbed 'Life & Crime Mondays,' in June. The network has ordered three original unscripted series for the offering, including '#TextMeWhenYouGetHome.'

#TextMeWhenYouGetHome became a viral hashtag after the horrific murder of Sarah Everard in Britain in 2021. Metropolitan Police officer Wayne Couzens claimed to Everard that he was arresting her for breaking COVID-19 protocols but drove her to Dover where he raped and strangled her, before burning her body and disposing of her remains in a nearby pond. Her death sparked a conversation about global awareness, and the vulnerability and lack of safety women feel while in public alone. Inspired by this incident, the new docu-series will depict the stories of women who have been abducted, harmed, or even murdered when they were alone. Here's what we know about the series.

What is ‘#TextMeWhenYouGetHome’ all about?

The official synopsis by Lifetime reads, "#TextMeWhenYouGetHome became a viral, worldwide movement following the 2021 death of Sarah Everard. The slogan sparked awareness around the vulnerability women feel while out in public alone. In this gripping, true-crime docuseries, each episode follows the case of an innocent woman who has been abducted, harmed or even killed while she was out by herself.
