'Temptation Island' star Kendal Kirkland seems to have successfully cemented his position as the most hated person on 'Temptation Island' among fans. The young entrepreneur entered the island questioning if his girlfriend of two years, Erica Washington, is indeed the girl for him. 

The couple came on the show with 'no rules' between them. While Erica interpreted the 'no rules' rule as a way to work on herself and their relationship, Kendal took it as a free pass to get wild on the island by behaving like a single, despite having a girlfriend. Kendal used the 'no rules' rule as an excuse to not only get close to Alexcys Homan but also engage in a threesome with Alexcys and Nickole Ciszak. Week after week Erica quietly watched her boyfriend throw their relationship down the drain as he kept pushing his boundaries with Alexcys and later Nickole.

So, when it was finally time for the couples to send their partners a 30-second video message, Kendal was still hoping to receive a message from his girlfriend. However, Erica decided that it wasn't worth her time or effort to record a message as she had nothing left to say to him. So, she decided not to send him a message. When Kendal realized that he didn't receive anything from Erica, he got very upset.

But instead of taking accountability and feeling guilty over how his actions might have hurt Erica, he simply placed the blame on her for ruining their relationship. He felt that Erica got influenced by the other single men in the villa, so she didn't send him any message. He continued to gaslight her pointing out how she was supposed to work on herself on the island and became a better version of herself, instead of just listening to other people. As shocking as it was to see Kendal still being hopeful about salvaging their relationship, fans were also amused by how he was conveniently gaslighting Erica.

A fan tweeted, "Wow Kendal made everything about Erica changing for him...the gaslighting and arrogance is too much #TemptationIsland." Another fan wrote, "The fact that Kendal is still gaslighting Erica is so disgusting Dude you disrespected her in the worst way on National TV and have the audacity to imply she can’t think on her own? Perhaps you think that way because you’ve been manipulating her for years. #TemptationIsland." Another user echoed similar thoughts with, "I genuinely HATE Kendal. He takes gaslighting to a whole new level. #TemptationIsland."

After watching how Kendal reacted to not receiving any video message from Erica, several fans began calling him a 'sociopath'. A fan on Reddit posted, "I generally hate to armchair diagnose, but he seems straight-up sociopathic. There is absolutely no emotional affect in anything he says and he seems incapable of feeling or expressing guilt or remorse or empathy. He also seems to act solely on what he wants in the moment without regard for the fallout - the idea that Erica might break up with him after watching him have a threesome on national television seems not to have even crossed his mind; he still thinks the decision is entirely his to make. He's not even bothering to try and make excuses in order to deflect responsibility, he just blankly states his warped view of reality like it's an immutable fact of nature."

Another user shared, "Kendal wants it to work with Erica if SHE changes?! This mofo had a whole-a** threesome on national television, but ERICA needs to change?! He's a sociopath. #TemptationIsland @TemptationTV." "Kendal is a narcissistic sociopath. #TemptationIsland," declared a user.
