‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ faces internet backlash as MTV brings back '30-something loser' Jenelle Evans
OAK ISLAND, NORTH CAROLINA: Last week, Page Six released a photo of Jenelle Evans hanging out with 'Teen Mom: The Next Chapter' cast member Briana DeJesus in Florida, surprising fans of the show. With MTV's official confirmation of her return to the franchise, fans have unleashed their discontent with the announcement.
On Tuesday, May 7, the official Facebook page for 'Teen Mom: OG' stunned franchise viewers with the following announcement, "Jenelle Evans is returning to #TeenMom!! What do you think of her coming back? Sound off in the comments!"
Before fans could react to the news of her return, many took to Reddit to question why a show named 'Teen Mom', would bring back mothers who aren't teens anymore. On Reddit, one user wrote, "It feels so weird that this is a show called "Teen Mom" when these ladies are in their thirties."
Another wrote, "Better show name—- “thirtysomething losers with too much money handed to them.” One fan said, "Middle Aged White Trash Sometimes Parents. Another argued, "Or “ pre menopausal shit show “ :…:..none of the OG’s have been teen moms for many many years."
One fan pointed out, "Not to mention some don't even have custody. Amber doesn't have her kids, and jenelle just got Jace back after 14 years, lose him again in like 4 months, then just get him back 🥴." One sighed, "Now they are moms to teens💀."
Why was Jenelle Evans fired from 'Teen Mom'?
Jenelle was sacked by MTV in 2019 when her husband, David Eason, shot and killed their dog. Since then, Jenelle has been absent from television, but that seems to be on the verge of changing.
Last week, reports circulated that Jenelle is poised to appear on 'Teen Mom: The Next Chapter' now that she has divorced David. It seems not everyone on the program is content with the scenario.
'Teen Mom: The Next Chapter' cast not happy with Jenelle Evans's return
Jenelle is returning to MTV, set to star in 'Teen Mom: The Next Chapter' shortly, but the situation isn't ideal for everyone.
According to the Ashley Reality Roundup Group, not everyone involved with 'Teen Mom: The Next Chapter' is pleased with Jenelle's expected comeback. Most people, including her future co-stars, were unaware that the controversial reality TV personality would be returning to the franchise.
According to the insider, the cast was informed when Jenelle's name was added to the cast list, and she was seen spending time with one of the cast members.
According to a production insider who spoke with the media outlet, Jenelle is making a return, but some of her coworkers are unhappy that other, less problematic performers were overlooked in favor of her. They did not specify which co-stars were dissatisfied with the scenario, but Briana seemed pleased.
She was the only celebrity recently seen spending time with Jenelle. When they appeared together on 'Teen Mom 2', they quickly became friends.
The insider also stated that numerous other previous stars were being considered for roles in the series. However, they didn't specify which previous 'Teen Mom' stars were passed up in favor of Jenelle.
Even so, just a few people have voluntarily left the franchise. Kailyn Lowry, who had a very epic spat with Jenelle and Briana, was one of them. Kailyn has not shown an interest in returning to MTV.
Why did 'Teen Mom's Jenelle Evans separate from David Eason?
Jenelle filed for divorce from David, claiming his unpredictable conduct and drug misuse problems, resulted in a permanent split. Jenelle believes David's animosity, financial drain, and refusal to work harmed their children and her profession, damaging her image.
