These court documents indicate her decision to take a break from her husband, David Eason, aged 35, after six years of marriage. The documents mentioned that Jenelle Evans listed their date of separation as February 16.
The reality star, who married Eason in September 2017, stated that she filed the documents with the intention of a permanent separation. Evans cited concerns over Eason's behavior throughout their marriage, describing it as at times disturbing. She referred to a specific incident in 2019 when Eason shot and killed their family's French Bulldog.
According to Evans, this action led to their daughter Ensley, who is now 7 years old, being taken into custody by the Department of Child Services until the situation was resolved. Jenelle regained custody of Ensley and her middle child, son Kaiser, who is 9 years old, in July 2019. (Evans shares Ensley with Eason and Kaiser with her ex-boyfriend, Nathan Griffith.)

MTV has officially severed ties with the couple. A spokesperson for the network informed PEOPLE, stating, "MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since." Furthermore, the spokesperson revealed, "Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."
