The entire coaching staff – Ted (Jason Sudeikis), Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), Nathan (Nick Mohammed), Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), and Higgins (Jeremy Swift) – getting together in the locker rooms of the Wembley Stadium and set to be ready for the game. They hurdle up and Ted chooses that moment to reveal the real reason behind his sudden disappearance from the quarter-final match. He also says that he has been having these panic attacks for quite a while and he is seeing the team’s doctor about it. As soon as he stops, Higgins gathers the courage to confess something as well. He says that he messed up the time zones and missed the transfer deadline. That’s why the team could sign the “amazing” footballer from Brazil. Everyone says “it’s okay” and move on.

Then, Roy Kent comes up with his own confession and says that he never reads the scouting report sent to him because he feels that they are too boring and always lies about them. On the other hand, Nathan admits that he pretends to get ideas on the run, but in reality, all the ideas are from months back. He just does it to look spontaneous.
It was Brendan, who shocked everyone, by saying that there was one in the season when he was on “mushrooms.” They were surprised to learn that, but they said okay and just went on with the game with a clear head. Ted was really happy that he could talk about his sufferings with the people he cares about.

The particular scene made us realize that Richmond FC is more than just a team, but a family. They can share anything with each other and they will support each other because everyone commits mistakes. The bigger picture is how to take the team forward with a positive approach and make them better human beings.

A befitting end to an episode that just made us realize why this show means so much to people.

'Ted Lasso' Season 2 returns with a new episode every Friday on Apple TV+.
