LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+ sports comedy-drama ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 finale day has finally arrived, creating a jolt of excitement, nervousness, and surprise elements within the viewers. Except something has to take a drastic turn as always when it comes to ‘Ted Lasso’. As the series finale approached, Apple TV+ decided to change the premiere time of the final episode.

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 finale was set to release on May 31, 2023, at 9 pm ET. However, the latest installment is pushed back by three hours and Lasso’s fans will not be able to stream the final showdown until midnight on Tuesday. The network made the announcement on Twitter, explaining the episode’s length of time, time of release, and a sneak-peak into the ending of the finale.

‘Nice way to end the show'

While Apple TV+ announced the schdule change, fans went nuts over this decision as they made plans for the finale according to the previous release time. Usually, the new episodes of ‘Ted Lasso’ drop at 9 pm ET. However, the network has changed the air time to 9 pm PT. Apple TV+’s tweet wrote, “At about minute 74, there's going to be a whole room of grown men crying”.

After this tweet, fans took to social media to express their frustration and anger. A Twitter user wrote, “Whoever made the decision to change the broadcast time for the final Ted Lasso showed poor judgment. People had bought food, made plans with friends … to have so many gatherings spoiled”. Another commented, “Hope that’s a typo on the drop time”. One more user shared his resentment, saying, “Seriously? WTF? So most of us on the East Coast now can't watch until after work on Wednesday evening so the finale is ruined as spoilers will be all over the place when we wake up. Why would you do that - it's mind boggling”.

The change in the schedule timings may be convenient for viewers on the West Coast. However, it has caused a problem for fans that have already planned parties for the season finale. One user wrote, “Can't release episodes at a certain time the whole season then change it the day of the episode. Doesn't seem to be respectful of the fans”, while another stated, “Gee thanks Apple. way to screw us East Coast fans who have to work tomorrow and can't start watching at midnight...and the west coast will have spoilers all over tomorrow... nice way to end the show”. Another user commented, “Why would you change the time at the last minute when you know that many fans have planned their evenings around watching it at the usual time? Are you trying to piss off loyal fans of your platform? Because that's what's happening”.

What hint does Apple TV+ reveal for the ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 finale?

After the major schedule change announcement for the ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 finale, fans have been speculating if the show will continue for a fourth season. Nevertheless, Apple TV+ has revealed an emotional insight into the series finale in a recent tweet, saying, “There will be a room full of grown men crying at 74 minutes”. Though it is confirmed the episode will run for 74 minutes, almost about a full movie’s time, the sneak-peak is just hysterical. The show’s episodes have progressed longer since it first debuted with 30-minute segments in Season 1.
