Season 2 of ‘Ted Lasso’ has been an emotional journey and revealed the true personalities of some of the major characters. The show’s protagonist has been dealing with a lot of things while the others have been fighting their own battles as well.

Elsewhere, Roy (Brett Goldstein) and Keeley (Juno Temple) are having a hard time in their relationship after what happened during the penultimate episode. On the other hand, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) has feelings for Sam (Toheeb Jimoh) and doesn’t want him to leave the club. However, everyone wants to know why Nathan (Nick Mohammad) betrayed Ted and leaked the information about his panic attack in the media. The final episode of Season 2 beautifully addresses the aforementioned query and fans might not like what Nate said about their favorite coach.

'Ted Lasso' Season 2 Episode 11: Did Nate betray Ted? His secret is out in the media

In their final game of the league, Richmond is trailing 2-0 at the half-time break. Ted and the coaching staff decide to ask the team if they want to play with Nate’s False 9 strategy or they want to try something new. The entire team says that they will play with Nate’s strategy and execute it. As soon as the team gets ready to go outside, Nate storms inside the coach’s room and isn’t happy with what just happened.

Ted confronts him and asks him what did he do wrong now? Nate finally gives and reveals that Ted abandoned him after making him feel like he is the most important person in the world. Nate also feels that everybody loved Ted for his good nature, but in reality, he is a “piece of s—t”. During the conversation, Nate also opened up about how he worked so passionately to get his attention, but it seemed like he was invisible to him.

However, Nate doesn’t like that the team is going ahead with his strategy when the team is losing and everyone will blame him for the loss. He calls Ted a “joke” and even drags his personal life in between, which completely shatters the Richmond FC coach.

Nate ends the conversation by saying that Ted doesn’t belong here and it is him who should be coaching the team. During the whole conversation and even after hearing so much, Ted remains silent and apologizes to him for making him feel like this.

The entire conversation was Nate trying to tell Ted that he should have got the coaching job because he has been with the team for so long and he never expected an outsider to come and take up his job. But one thing is clear that Ted never really abandoned Nate as he always had him during the important conversations about the team.

So, this is why Nathan betrayed Ted and wanted to make everyone understand that he is not fit for the job even when he is the only one who brought the entire team together. Will Ted and Nathan be able to mend their relationship? Or will it get worse with each passing day? The next season might give an answer to this burning question.
