So far, the top 12 contestants are -- James 'Lord Finn' Thomas, Virginia Crouse, Jordan Betscher, Waverly Fredericks, Anna Miller, Beau Harmon, Thiago Pacheco, Essence Wilmington, Carter Williams, Ralyn Johnson, Keaton Kermode and Alexis Warr.

The dancers then performed in pairs, as they all showcased a different dance style through their routines. For die-hard fans of the show, here's a look at the choreographers who orchestrated each routine -- James 'Lord Finn' Thomas and Virginia Crouse's routine was choreographed by Luther Brown. Jordan Betscher and Waverly Fredericks' routine was choreographed by Elizabeth & Mandy. Anna Miller and Beau Harmon's routine was choreographed by Al Blackstone. Thiago Pacheco and Essence Wilmington's routine was choreographed by Tessandra Chavez. Carter Williams and Ralyn Johnson's routine was choreographed by Alan Bersten. And finally, Keaton Kermode and Alexis Warr's routine was choreographed by Talia Favia.

Based on their duet performances, there were four contestants who found themselves in the bottom -- Virginia Crouse, Thiago Pacheco, Essence Wilmington and Carter Williams. When it came down to it, the judges announced that they would be picking two dancers to be in the bottom two. But in an interesting twist (which is now an 'SYTYCD' Season 17 standard), they announced that no one would be in the bottom and that all 12 dances were moving forward.

'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 17 airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET/PT.
