'Supernatural' fans are among the most loyal fans out there, and the CW show, its creators and writers know it better than anyone else. This is probably why they make it a point to give a nod to the fandom and, oftentimes, even break the fourth wall to keep us entertained. It seems like we will get a feel of that in the upcoming Season 15 Episode 5, titled 'Proverbs 17:3', as well.

Religious viewers of the show will remember Season 4 Episode 18 titled 'The Monster at the End of This Book' as one of the first instances of this meta legacy, wherein Chuck (Rob Benedict) — who was yet to reveal himself as God — was introduced as the author of a series of books based on the lives of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Eric Kripke, the creator of the show, once revealed during a Comic-Con panel that he has a "tempestuous, loving, conflicting" relationship with the 'Supernatural' fandom and that this particular episode gave him a chance to take a friendly jab at them.

Another memorable instance of the CW show breaking the fourth wall, Season 5 Episode 1 saw a fan writing  Wincest (incestuous relationship involving the Winchester brothers) fan fiction, while Season 5 Episode 8 titled 'Changing Channels' poked fun at popular shows such as 'Grey’s Anatomy' and 'CSI: Miami'. As fun as all these were, Season 6 Episode 15 'The French Mistake' was probably the most entertaining, when Sam and Dean landed in an alternate universe where 'Supernatural' is a TV show and everyone thinks their names are Jensen and Jared instead of Sam and Dean — basically our world.

Now, we get yet another dash of the fourth-wall-breaking fun when the writers take the words out of the fans' mouth and call Jared from Season 1 a "baby", and Jensen from Season 1 exactly the same as Jensen from Season 15. Admit it, we have all made these observations at one point or another. Now we get to hear it come out of Jensen and Jared's mouths. The episode will also see Sam and Dean solving a seemingly routine case, which turns out to be way more than that.

Season 15 Episode 5 of 'Supernatural', titled 'Proverbs 17:3', will be aired Thursday, November 14 on The CW.
