LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ has seen a range of co-hosts over the last 26 years, and now the panel consists of Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro, and Sara Haines. However, sometimes people forget that apart from being co-hosts on ‘The View’, these ladies have had some interesting jobs and while Goldberg's acting career is noteworthy, Hostin's work is currently the center of attention.

Hostin is currently under scrutiny by fans and this wouldn’t be the first time. While Hostin has been a part of ‘The View’ as a co-host, she is also a lawyer, which might come as a surprise to some. Although, by the looks of it, fans can’t help but mock Hostin for mentioning her previous job.

‘When I worked for the Department of Justice’

On Thursday’s episode of ‘The View’, one of the topics of conversation was Justice Samuel Alito, an associate justice of the Supreme Court, who “issued a public rebuttal to a new report, detailing a vacation he took with a wealthy hedge fund manager who later had business before the Court.” Of course, since this was a part of the Hot Topics segment, the floor was open to the co-hosts and they had a lot to say about it, especially Hostin.

She couldn’t help but chime in with her own experiences from her previous job as she said, “Can I put this in context? When I worked for the Department of Justice,” Hostin then looked at Griffin, “and I think you had the same rule applied to you as a federal employee.” She turned her attention back to the other co-hosts and continued, “You could only accept an unsolicited gift up to $20.” The co-hosts then had a rather lengthy conversation about this particular topic, but the Internet and fans of ‘The View’ seemed to be caught on Hostin, and they didn’t hold back.

‘Most condescending woman on TV’

‘The View’ often posts clips of conversations on their Instagram page, and Hostin’s comment about working for the Department of Justice made it to their social media. Of course, viewers of the talk show couldn’t help but laser-focus on Hostin and one commented, “Sunny has turned into the rudest and most condescending woman on TV.” Another user couldn’t help but point out that this wasn’t the first time Hostin mentioned her previous employment as they wrote, “Sunny does not go even one show without letting everyone know she was a prosecutor. WE KNOW!!!” Another viewer commented, “Oh sunny was a federal prosecutor…who knew… nobody said ever !!”

Of course, viewers also took note of Hostin mentioning the unsolicited gifts as one user commented, “Are those fake things on your ears a gift Sunny?” and another wrote, “Sunny wants the perks.” Viewers were terribly disappointed as hate continued to pour in for Hostin. One person also commented, “We know the laws. @sunny we don’t need for you to tell us and take all of the show’s time explaining them to us. We are not dumb. And know you are a former prosecutor. Wonder why you are just a talk show cohost now?”
