The weekend was abuzz with rumors of new album releases. While we first saw the Internet going wild with theories for Adele’s album, social media users got another good news after singer-songwriter Summer Walker announced her sophomore album. The award-winning crooner took to her Instagram and Twitter respectively to share the big news with her loyal fans.

In the video, the ‘Girls Need Love’ hitmaker sheds light on the upcoming album revealing the month she will be releasing her new studio effort. The announcement quickly sent her fans and followers into a tizzy as they rushed to Twitter to express their excitement. Summer Walker’s first album ‘Over It’ dropped in 2019 and it spawned hit singles like ‘Playing Games’, ‘Stretch You Out’ and ‘Come Thru’. She had tapped artists like Bryson Tiller, Usher, 6lack, PartyNextDoor, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and Jhene Aiko for the guest verses.

Is Summer Walker dropping album?

Summer Walker’s fans have waited for too long for her new studio record and they will finally get to enjoy it in November. Yes, Summer in her video shared a shot that included a neon sign on the building that read, “summer walker album #2 coming November’. She had captioned the Twitter post, “It’s all love BET More Details on my new album will be revealed on the Anniversary of "Over it"!!”  As of now, there are no details on the featured artists, music producers and the release date of the yet untitled album.  MEAWW will keep you posted.

Several social media users assumed that Adele might drop her fourth studio album in the same month after mysterious billboards with the number “30” were spotted in different cities like Berlin, Paris, Dublin and Amsterdam among others. Speaking of Summer Walker, her debut effort had won the best album at the 2020 Soul Train Music Awards and was the most-streamed album by a female artist on Apple Music in 2020.

Social media users were in for a surprise after Sumer Walker made the big announcement. Dubbing it as album of the year, one loyal fan said, “AOTY we ready coming for the r&b no.1.”  Another shared, “Summer Walker dropping at the perfect time.” The next one added, “Watch out adele… here comes summer walker.”
 
One fan said, “November need to hurry up just because Summer Walker is dropping please and thank you.” Another posted, “Summer walker music gon save me . this fall. i can’t wait to be crying, screaming and throwing up.” Meanwhile, one stated, “If I get an Adele album and a Summer Walker album in the near future im going to FAINT I WILL PASS OUT.” One person said, “Summer Walker next album better be laced with fentanyl.” Another concluded, “She's really risking it with Adele?
