NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Suits' aired for 9 seasons on the USA Network from 2011-2019, and for the first six seasons, the show maintained a clean language policy suitable for family audiences. However, Season 7 introduced a surprising deviation with the frequent use of the F-word, catching viewers off guard

'Suits' was created by Aaron Korsh, and followed the journey of Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams), a man gifted with a photographic memory and legal aptitude who fraudulently becomes a part of a legal firm. His senior and mentor Harvey Spector (Gabriel Macht) is the best closer in New York and a man whose reputation as the best lawyer in the city proceeds him.

Other recurring characters in the show are Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), Harvey's boss and a senior lawyer, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), the antagonist of the show, Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), lawyer and Mike's love interest, Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty), Harvey's assistant and love interest.

Season 7 left fans flabbergasted with the use of swear words as it was not the norm for a USA Network show before.

Fans who had been following 'Suits' for six seasons were in for a sudden barrage of F-Bombs. The choice of language became an instant topic of discussion on social media and online platforms.

A fan took to Reddit and said, "The last half of this season they've started swearing in really jarring fashion".  Another fan added Reddit, "Suits season 7 was just added on Netflix and after 5 episodes I noticed that there are a lot of f-bombs in the show. I was confused that is this the same version they show in the US or does Netflix exclusively have the uncensored version? What the hell happened?"

A part of the reason, as per the fans was USA Network allowing such language to be used in other shows like 'Mr. Robot. A fan on Reddit said, "Because ever since they saw no one had problem with such cursing on Mr. Robot, they have been allowing other shows do it too. This isn't just a USA thing. It has been creeping across the entire basic cable land."

Apart from all the swearing, Season 7 was significant because it was the final season for much of its main cast.

Season 7 concluded the narrative arcs for Rachel Zane and Mike Ross who left the show at the end of 'Suits' Season 7 Finale Episode. Mike convinces his to-be father-in-law Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) to join Spector-Litt to force Stanley Gordon to drop his suit.

Rachel and Mike get married and the marriage is attended by Harvey. Jessica leaves for Chicago where she starts working with the Mayor. The season also saw the first instance of romance between Harvey and Donna, something the fans had been asking for years.

Mike and Rachel leave the city and move to Seattle to live together.
