LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brian Cox has been very opinionated lately, whether it is to defend the 'Harry Potter' franchise author, J.K Rowling, or argue that the 'Suits' alum, Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry are "victims" of an institution that "shouldn't exist anymore". But that is beside the point, as we know Cox has been in the film industry for six decades but he has been in demand now more than ever and that is partly because of the satirical black comedy-drama HBO series he stars in called, 'Succession'. However, this 'Succession' star has created quite a stir as  Cox has recently asked fans to f**k off.

Speaking of 'Succession,' the fifth and the final season's first episode premiered in the last week of  March. Furthermore, Sarah Snook walked the premiere night's red carpet flaunting her baby bump with her husband however she didn't look pregnant in the first episode. Additionally, Alan Ruck, Jeremy Strong, and Kieran Culkin also star in the series as the leads beside Snook and Cox. We also see Hiam Abbass, Peter Friedman, Natalie Gold, and Rob Yang, while Dagmara Dominczyk, Arian Moayed, J. Smith-Cameron, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, and Fisher Stevens featured in recurring roles before being promoted to the main cast.

Fans upset as Sarah Snook was unaware of 'Succession' ending with Season 4 until final table read

'Joyous thing to do'

In a recent interview with Radio Times, he revealed fans request him to blast expletives at them. He said, "I lost my anonymity. People know who I am now." "And on a regular basis, they want me to tell them to f**k off. Which, of course, is a joyous thing to do to human beings! We should all f**k off, quite frankly," he laughed. "But I don’t want to end my days being known as the guy who told everybody to f**k off, ha ha ha!" However, he also shared his thoughts on Jesse Armstrong seizing the series. He said, "Jesse Armstrong is an extremely disciplined writer. He knows how to tell his tale, how to shape his tale, and that’s what he does. And you’ve got to hand it to him. He’s the creator, writer, he’s got his team, and they came to a [conclusion]. I’m absolutely fine with that. I can’t knock it, the show’s given me so much. Upwards and onwards. I’m so busy, it’s not true. 'And I think that’s right. I loved the role. But it’s only a stop on the way as far as I’m concerned!"

What is next for Cox?

The series has received several awards and nominations, including the British Academy Television Award for Best International Programme and two wins for both, the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Drama and the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in 2020 and 2022. Speaking of accolades, Cox and Strong received the Golden Globe for Best Actor – Television Series Drama while Snook won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries, or Television Film.
