'Succession' Season 3 Episode 3: Fans say 'it's gonna be bumpy road' for Kendall
'Succession' Season 3 Episode 3 was one of those episodes that had no winners, but a bunch of people who were left fuming and depressed as the result of their actions unfolded. The FBI shows up at Waystar’s offices with a search warrant and Logan (Brian Cox) is forced to "cooperate". Shiv (Sarah Snook) exacts her revenge by drafting a letter of support for her father that slams Kendall as a drug addict and an absentee father, among other things.
Kendall, in the meantime, heads to Waystar office, throws his weight around a little bit, disrupts a Town Hall where Shiv is all set to announce her new role. The letter is circulated to the world just as Kendall gets ready to appear on Sophie’s late-night show. The letter also fades his smile as he curls up in a ball in the server room and bows out of the show. In what came across as a stirring performance by Strong, Twitter shed their two cents on the episode and on Kendall's storyline.

"Great, great episode! The Raid is here!! It's gonna be a bumpy road for Kendall but I back him % #TeamKendall #Succession #SuccessionHBO #SofaJustice," read one of the tweets. "#SuccessionHBO #Succession i can’t tell if Kendall is happy or not. He’d probably be celebrating if not for that damn letter," read another comment.
The theories came in as well. "Kendall should’ve went on and spoke for himself and spoke transparently about his addictions. That + the raid would have him in a good position. He’s still ok though, cause everybody will be talking about the raid and not his addictions. #Succession." Another fan felt this was an episode where everybody lost. "Nobody won in this episode. Everybody lost something. Shiv lost her ability to always claim the route of the high road (and probably her brother forever), Kendall lost his fragile confidence, Logan lost the battle of the fort. #Succession"
Strong received some accolades for his acting chops as well. "the way jeremy strong depicts brokenness is truly next level. broken, bordering on unhinged kendall pushes this show into another stratosphere #Succession."
