LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sarah Snook was quite unsure about joining the cast of HBO's 'Succession' when she was first approached to play Siobhan 'Shiv' Roy, the only daughter of a ruthless but ailing media tycoon. As a rising actress with a string of award-winning films and television roles in Australia and a well-received part in the 2015 'Steve Jobs'  biopic, Snook didn't want to be marginalized in a show that looked like it was themed with "a bunch of white men in business" from its outer shell. But, eventually, Snook joined the cast and it went on to become a great success among fans and critics.

Recently, show creator Jesse Armstrong announced that the upcoming fourth season of 'Succession' will be the show's last. And while that might be sad news, something that's even sadder is the fact that Sarah Snook wasn't notified prior to this and was given a shock of a lifetime when she read the script and got the news of the show ending.

'Felt a huge sense of loss'

In a recent interview, Sarah Snook expressed her feelings after being left out of the entire discussion of 'Succession' ending, "I was very upset," she said "I felt a huge sense of loss, disappointment and sadness. It would have been nice to know at the beginning of the season, but I also understand not being told until the end because there was still a potential that maybe this wasn’t going to be the end." She continued, "Emotionally, all of us weren’t necessarily ready to be done with the show because we love each other so much," she added. "But everything has to come to an end, and it’s smart not to let something become a parody of itself." According to Los Angeles Times

'Shiv always the last to know'

While fans were recovering from the news breaking out of the fourth season being 'Succession's last, Sarah Snook being blindsided with the news of the show ending didn't go well with the fans. While some were disappointed, some just pointed out the fact that Sarah and her character from the show went through the same fate, of being the one who's last to know the details. One user wrote, "JESSE YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES", while another chimed in with, "shiv always the last to know." One user pointed out the obvious with, "until the last table read is crazy...." while another user wrote, "everyone method acting on this show (no one telling shiv important information)", "succession you better count your days," while some made threatening statements.
