LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There is no doubt that the ‘Succession’ series finale was one of the most anticipated finales in the history of tv and streaming. From 2018 to 2023, and over the span of four seasons, this series has seen immense success. In fact, it has often been talked about in the same breath as ‘Games of Thrones'. However, what happens when the pressure for a successful series finale is so high? Everything is riding on one final episode. Will the legacy crumble and collapse?

‘Succession’ series finale had a run time of 90 minutes, which is equivalent to a Hollywood movie. This also means that a lot has to be done, several loose ends need to be tied, and each and every character arc needs to conclude. The series finale for ‘Succession’ has left a sour taste behind as fans are disappointed with how their favorite series has ended.

‘Worst TV finale’

In a shocking turn of events, the much-anticipated ‘Succession’ series finale has left behind a trail of disappointed fans. Everyone has their own reasons for this disappointment, ranging from unfair character arcs to just an overall bad ending. Fans have taken to social media to express their thoughts as one fan tweets about Shiv’s ending, “This was literally my worst case scenario for this finale.  Shiv move doesn't make sense to me.  Shiv went from leader to obedient wife.  And looked miserable. What?! #Succession.” Another disappointed fan tweets, “The worst tv finale of ALL time #Succession” Frankly, the frustration of fans is visible through the screens as another one writes, “#Succession You had me until the last 10 minutes…Worst finale of one of my favorite shows ever!!! I just can’t!!! 🤡💩 @succession @HBO."

'Haven't seen a series finale that bad since Lost'

Series finales are important for every show that airs on networks and streaming platforms, and while a few reach the intended height of brilliance, a lot of them miss the mark.
