'Stumptown' Episode 4: Dex is on a mission to take down her former mentor turned enemy, but can she win in a fight against Artie?
‘Stumptown’ has already made a huge impact on the fans just three episodes in and Dex’s (Cobie Smulders) story is just getting started.
In the previously aired Season 1 Episode 3 of the ABC series, we saw Dex teaming up with veteran Private Investigator Artie (Donal Logue) to log in her apprenticeship hours in exchange for a cut of what she makes on all the cases in her first year as a PI. However, things did not go exactly as we had hoped, and Artie turned out to be more of a douchebag than we had initially assumed.
Now, Dex has declared war against him and is on a mission to seek justice for her client, a young single mother who stands the risk of losing her baby to her estranged husband Randall Tapper (Robb Derringer), who also happens to be a rich businessman with a history of manipulating young women and covering up his dirty work under the pretext of charity.
After an inspiring speech about women who have been fighting for everything they have standing up to powerful men who underestimate them, we will see Dex delivering her first hit to Artie in the upcoming Episode 4 titled ‘Family Ties’. However, this fight is not going to be an easy one for Dex to win.
In fact, we see her experiencing backlash from Artie almost immediately, with him warning her that going after him wouldn’t end well for her. We even see Grey (Jake Johnson) asking her if she knows just how much trouble she is getting herself into. Dex is not one to back down from a fight, but in the upcoming episode, we will get a glimpse of her tenacity and perseverance.
Artie may be a formidable foe, but he has never gone up against anyone like Dex before, and we are excited to see how their fight unfolds in the upcoming Season 1 Episode 4 of ‘Stumptown’ titled ‘Family Ties’, which will air on ABC come Wednesday night.
