In less than 24 hours, the final two episodes of ‘Stranger Things’ will be released on Netflix and we will finally know who will win the between Eleven and Vecna. Fans are really excited to see how these powerful creatures battle it out in one of the most evenly-matched fights. Apart from the highly-anticipated fight, there are a lot of stories that would be in the spotlight in the last two episodes of Season 4.

Fans are still recovering from the chaos that ensued in Volume One of Season 4, but they might see more carnage with two more episodes making their way to the streaming platform. However, one fan theory made everyone go berserk and made us even more curious about the upcoming episodes. A new, and weird fan theory suggests that ‘sensitive’ Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) might turn out to be a villain because of his connections to the upside-down.

The first two seasons were all about Will trying to drift away from the Demogorgon and the world of Upside Down. However, we know that he still has a connection with that weird place and that might plan an important role in the final two episodes or the upcoming season. A TikTok user named Jaden Bricker has made a video suggesting that Will is evil because of some similarities between him and Victor Creel’s son Henry. In the video, he says, “If we go back and look at season one, we see that Joyce refers to Will as a 'sensitive' child. Do you know who else is referred to as a sensitive child? Henry Creel (001/Vecna) by his own mother as well.”

On the other hand, Bricker believes that there must be a good reason to keep Will alive even when he spent so much time in Upside Down. It means that Will was the “perfect host”. He added, “There has to be a reason that Will was kept alive when he was in the Upside Down for so long. He was the perfect host. As we know, the Mind Flayer is made up of inter-dimensional particles. Essentially, these particles can detach from the greater body that is the shadow monster.”

Vecna, the new villain in 'Stranger Things' Season 4 (Netflix)

However, the most convincing part of the theory comes when the TikTok user said that Will must have started becoming “corrupt” based on the time he spent in the alternate dimension. According to the theory, Vecna saw that Will is really similar to him and decided to keep him alive so that he could wreak havoc on Hawkins.

Well, this might be farfetched, but the theory seems to have us convinced that Will might be playing an important role in the upcoming episodes.

‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Volume 2 will be premiering exclusively on Friday, July 1.
