Stranger Things’ Season 4 took everyone by storm and even after a week of its release, fans can’t stop raving about the Netflix series. The earlier seasons of the sci-fi horror series featured extraordinary villains like Demogorgon and Mind Flayer. However, Season 4 introduced viewers to a new and menacing villain in the form of Vecna. The evil leech is considered to be the ruler of Upside Down and wreaked havoc in Hawkins, killing some of the most important characters in the show.

Over the course of nine episodes, the villain showed why he is a force to be reckoned with and everyone should be afraid of him. However, if you feel that Vecna is dead and won’t return for the final season, then you are wrong because he is set to surround Hawkins with dark clouds and cause destruction in the small city. But what will he do? Well, Jamie Campbell Bower has some insights to share.

In a recent interview, the actor, who portrayed the villain in Season 4, revealed what Vecna’s motives might be in the show’s final edition and is curious to make this world a better place. While speaking with TV Line, Bower noted that his character believes that there’s a lot of ‘falsity’ in the world and Vecna is coming to erase all of it.

“His experience has led him to this point of believing — actually, knowing, not necessarily believing — that people present a falsity and this world is just full of liars. He really wants to change that for the greater good,” Bower said during the interview.

If you have seen Season 4, then you’ll know why Bower’s comments make sense. Every person that Vecna killed in Season 4 had something similar in them and they were all walking with some emotional struggle on their shoulders. The evil leech used to prey on the people who were dealing with a lot of trauma in their lives and expressed wishes to die. By doing so, the monster used to believe that he was making the world a better place by relieving people from their sufferings and pain. It’s interesting to have a villain who, despite doing all the evil things, believes that he is part of doing something bigger.

With Season 5 being the final season, we can expect some carnage in Hawkins. If Vecna has returned, he won’t go down that easily and might show his true strength by unleashing his powers.

As far as Season 5 is concerned, the Duffer brothers have already made it clear that the final season will be set only in Hawkins. This means, things are going to get really hard for Hawkins residents and everyone will see that evil exists in this world.
