'Star Wars: Resistance' Season 2 Episode 4 preview: Kaz sets out on a rescue mission after receiving a distress call on 'The Engineer'

On the next episode of 'Star Wars: Resistance', a rescue mission is undertaken and we meet a new character. According to the official synopsis released by Disney, "In 'The Engineer', Kaz and Neeku discover Nena, a Nikto engineer in need of assistance, who barely escaped a First Order attack."
A preview was also released, in which the distress call is seen being received by the Colossus via hologram.
While Jarek Yeager (Scott Lawrence) believes that the call might be a trap, Neeku Vozo (Josh Brener) points out that if it isn't a trap, without the Colossus' help, the person who sent out the distress call's likelihood of survival is extremely low.
Kaz Xiono (Christopher Sean) volunteers to pilot a rescue mission. Jarek agrees to this — but not before making sure that Kaz takes along someone who "knows how to handle a blaster."
Check out the preview below:
Though we do not see the character's face on the hologram in the preview, it is likely that the distress signal was sent out by the new character Nena.
With the new character, the episode will likely have a little more focus on Neeku, as he gets the chance to connect with another Nikto character, especially one who's an engineer.
The last episode of 'Star Wars: Resistance' saw unrest aboard the Colossus as its residents ran low on food supplies. While that problem was fixed, the Colossus is still in vital need of more repairs, giving Kaz and Neeku more than enough time to mount a successful rescue mission.
Nena is an unknown quality, however, and with the First Order keeping all eyes out for the Colossus, can viewers be entirely sure that everything is what it seems?
'Star Wars: Resistance' Season 2 Episode 4 'The Engineer' airs on November 3 at 6 pm ET/PT on Disney XD and 10 pm ET/PT on the Disney Channel.
