The much-anticipated fan-film 'Spider-Man Lotus' found itself in more soup after images and the script of the movie was leaked on Twitter. This comes a day after the film star and the director found themselves bang in the middle of a controversy following their racist statements and comments in the past. Actor Wayne Warden and director Gavin K Konop were slammed on social media after the former put out a tweet to come clean about some of the racist remarks he had made in the past.

The 83-page script of the movie was leaked on Twitter. This was followed by some of the images where Spider-Man battles the Green Goblin. Peter Parker's suit is seen to have taken massive damage from his skirmish with the villain, who was also the subject of discussion for his appearance. Fans were divided on whether they had to share the leaked content. While one segment felt it was a disservice to the hard work, some felt it was the perfect way to punish Warden and Konop.

"Man this whole Spider-Man Lotus situation is wild and extremely saddening at the same time. Condemn all the (real) stuff that was leaked but also condemn the witch hunt going on right now. Insane," one of the fans wrote. "Regarding Spider-Man Lotus: I read that leaked script and it’s unfortunate that this stuff came out because what I read was REALLY good," another remarked.

"Despite all the shit today, I’m still looking forward to Spider-Man Lotus. Whilst I strongly oppose Gavin‘s comments, it doesn’t change that I think the film sounds promising, and even seeing the leaked content today has made me excited for it. Fingers crossed it isn’t canned," one of the tweets read. "Someone leaked the full script for Spider-Man: Lotus. Not gonna share or anything like that cause it's a disservice to the cast & crew not involved in the controversy who just wanted to make a Spider-Man film," a fan commented.

One of the tweets suggested the reason behind the leaks. "Comes from a Spider-Man fan film called “Spider-Man: Lotus” but the main ppl behind the film got exposed to racist messages from not too long ago. Also, they basically admitted that they didn’t pay crew members. So they leaked out parts from the movie." Sympathies poured in. "This was in relation to the Spider-man Lotus creator having all of those messages leaked online. It was wrong, and more importantly pathetic, i’m still gonna watch the movie since people have put their heart n soul into it and deserve their hard work to be paid off."

A video clip of the final climax scene was leaked as well. It was memes galore with some sections poking fun at the movie while also taking digs at the actor and the director. "Exactly we all joked and said things we aren’t proud of and we regret, I’m the first to admit it, apologizing may be a start, but GJK didn’t handle this situation well at all and other problems from behind the scenes are getting out, let’s see what happens. I was excited for this," one of the fans wrote.

Konop responded to the situation surrounding Wayne's past, stating that he was aware of the actor's comments. According to comic book, he said: "In the past, Warden has been open with me about his former ignorance, as well as what could surface as a result, and I have done everything in my power to hold him accountable - not only then, but also today, and forever. I bluntly told him that this is going to love with him for the rest of his life - there's nothing he can do about it, and that's the reality he's accepted." He added "can't do anything much as a consequence".
