'Spencer': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about movie starring Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana
'Spencer' is the upcoming movie that centers around two days from Princess Diana's life, when she had decided to leave her marriage to Charles. She had spent the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk when she had decided the same. The film's principal photography had begun and Kristen Stewart's look as Princess Diana had also been released.

The production team is eyeing the fall of 2021 to release the film at the moment which is just ahead of the 25th death anniversary of Princess Diana. However, there has been no official release date confirmed by them.
Plot:
The first official synopsis of the movie reads, “December 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.”

The film will see actor Kristen Stewart play the role of Princess Diana in the film and speaking about playing the part, the actor said to InStyle, "The accent is intimidating as all hell because people know that voice, and it’s so, so distinct and particular,” and further added, “I’m working on it now and already have my dialect coach.”

The film will be directed by Larraín, who is well known for his other influential historical dramas such as 'No', 'Jackie' and 'Neruda'. He will be filming 'Spencer' in Germany and the United Kingdom.
The film is written by Peaky Blinders' Steven Knight.

The first look pictures of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana were released on January 27 in which the actor looks not much different than the real-life persona that she portrays -- Princess Diana. They also revealed the team behind the film and said, "Larraín’s creative team includes Director of Photography Claire Mathon (‘Portrait of a Lady on Fire’), Costume Designer Jacqueline Durran (Academy award-winner for ‘Little Women’), Makeup and Hair Designer Wakana Yoshihara (‘Murder On The Orient Express’) and Guy Hendrix Dyas (Academy Award nominee for ‘Passengers’ and ‘Inception’) is the Production Designer.
