Spectrum’s latest series ‘Angela Black’ is set to be your latest obsession and will take you on an enthralling ride that will keep you at the edge of your seats. The series revolves around a woman named Angela (Joanne Froggatt) who is enjoying her perfect life in a mansion, along with her husband. But under the surface, things are not as they seem to be as misunderstandings arise between Angela and her husband.

However, things change when she meets a stranger who tells her some terrifying secrets about her husband. Even though she loves him, she is forced to believe the stranger as things start to become ominous between her and her husband. The psychological thriller expands the sub-genre of psychological thrillers that already has projects like ‘You’, ‘Mindhunter’, and ‘Gone Girl'.

Joanne Froggatt as Angela Black

Born on August 23, 1980, Joanne Froggatt is undoubtedly one of the prominent actors in the world right now. The actor worked in several theatre productions when she was in the Redroofs Theatre School. Meanwhile, she made her TV debut in 1996 with the ITV series ‘The Bill’. In 1997, she received her first major acting role on ‘Coronation Street’ and played the role of Zoe Tattersall in 126 episodes.



 

After that, she played a lot of pivotal roles on shows such as ‘Paradise Heights’, ‘Island at War’, ‘Missing’, and ‘Robin Hood’. However, her moment of glory came in 2010 when she was cast as Anna Bates in ‘Downton Abbey’. The role changed her career and turned her into a global star. Joanne won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and 3 SAG Awards in the Best Ensemble category.

She also lends her voice to Wendy in ‘Bob the Builder’.

Michiel Huisman as Olivia Meyer

The Dutch actor began his career as a musician and was a part of the Dutch band Fontane. In 2001, the band came out with their debut song. On the other hand, Huisman made his feature film debut in 2001 as well. However, this was not the first time he was in front of the camera because he made his TV debut way back in 1995. His biggest Dutch project came in 2006 with ‘Black Book’. The movie was global and was nominated for several awards across the globe.



 

In 2010, he made his American TV series debut with ‘Treme’ and went on to have recurring roles on ‘Nashville’ and ‘Orphan Black’. However, he received the biggest role of his career in 2014 when he was cast as Daario Naharis on HBO’s blockbuster drama ‘Game of Thrones’. He was recently seen in shows such as ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ and ‘The Flight Attendant’. 

Samuel Adewunmi as Ed

Born in 1994, the British actor trained at Identity School of Acting and made his acting debut with the TV series ‘The Missing’ (2014). 2017 turned out to be a big year for him as he made his feature film debut and also acted on the blockbuster series ‘Doctor Who’. In 2019, he received commercial success with the movie ‘The Last Tree’ and received the Most Promising Newcomer accolade at the British Independent Film Awards. He was also nominated in the Best Actor category at the National Film Awards UK.

Pippa Nixon as PC Chappelhow

The British actor received her first acting role on the TV series ‘24Seven’ and had supporting roles on ‘The Bill’, ‘Holby City’, and ‘Dream Team’. She also appeared on an episode of ‘Law & Order: UK’. On the other hand, her feature film happened with ‘John Carter’ alongside Taylor Kitsch and Willem Dafoe.

Over the years, she has featured in ventures like ‘Containment’, ‘Cuffs’, ‘Midsomer Murders’, ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’, and ‘Unforgotten’.
