LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chef Marcus Samuelsson came prepared to cook ‘The View’ hosts a lovely and extravagant meal on stage. ‘The View’ is currently in its final week of filming Season 26 and will be going on a brief hiatus before returning for a new season. As they prepared to end the season, they hosted Samuelsson, who cooked, interacted, and wowed the co-hosts with his food.

During this cooking segment, which wouldn’t be the first one on ‘The View’, fans couldn’t help but focus on Whoopi Goldberg instead of Samuelsson, who was the star of the segment. Goldberg acted as Samuelsson’s sous chef for this segment and stole the limelight away from him as she swayed and cooked in the background.

Goldberg steals the show

Goldberg, who was the moderator as well as the sous chef, stood next to Samuelsson as the segment began. Goldberg introduced Samuelsson to the viewers as she swayed to the intro music played by ‘The View’. “Well, well, well, hello. Marcus Samuelsson, superstar chef, and eight-time James Beard winner brought us lunch today,” Goldberg said, resting her hand on Samuelsson’s shoulder. Goldberg pointed out how happy her co-hosts looked as they sat around a table on set, “If you’re feeding people, people are happy. Look at how happy…look at everybody’s faces.” Hostin agreed with Goldberg as the other co-hosts were focused on their meals. Samuelsson introduced a meal that was inspired by the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Throughout the segment, Goldberg was swaying, putting salt dramatically on the dishes, tossing a salad in the background, and this ultimately grabbed everyone’s attention.

‘Love Whoopi’

While the co-hosts focussed on Samuelsson and the conversation with him about food, fans took to the comment section of The View’s YouTube channel and talked about Goldberg. One fan commented, “Whoopi loves the food segments. If I was a co-host I would love the food segments as well. World-class chefs cooking especially for you. That's nice,” while another fan pointed out, “I have never seen Whoopie so happy.” Fans have also showcased their love for Goldberg after this segment as one commented, “Love Whoopi.”

One fan even dissected Goldberg’s actions in the segment as they wrote, “Have commented several times on Whoopi’s ‘relationship’ with food. This time she is standing next to the guest then DELIBERTLY playing with her food and staring into the camera. Near the end, she can't help herself AND is chewing and speaking with her mouth open. She deserves credit for restraining herself so long.”  Another viewer commented, “Whoopi loves talking with her mouth open.” Fans have truly paid attention to Goldberg as some even commented with particular time stamps from the segment, as one person said, “Whoopi Goldberg face should become a meme at 5:14-5:18.”
