'Songland' aired with a brand new episode on July 2, Tuesday night, with singer Aloe Blacc and the director of 'Fast & Furious presents: Hobbs & Shaw, David Leitch, appearing as the featured artistes.

So far, we have seen artistes coming to the series looking for their next hit single from up and coming songwriters. But this episode was different and the songwriters competing had a huge advantage compared to the previous contestants. The winner of this episode would have their song featured as a soundtrack in a movie.

The four songwriters who were competing for a chance to have their song featured in the movie were, Afika, Kyle Williams, TVTE and Steve Fee. It wasn't an easy feat for Blacc and Leitch to choose a song. But in the end, after listening to the original version and the refined version, they chose Williams' song 'Getting Started' to be featured as a soundtrack in the movie that stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham.

But that was not all after the episode ended, the series revealed that Blacc recorded Fee's 'Same Blood' after he recorded Williams' 'Getting Started'. Fee was mentored by Shane McAnally, they didn't change much in the song, but made the tune a little more like gospel.

Fee who hails from Alpharetta, Georgia in the US is a songwriter, producer and worship leader. He is also a former frontman of the band FEE. He identifies his music genre as Christian rock. He is married and has two kids and they live in Tennessee.
