'Snowpiercer' Episode 4: Did you see that surprise twist coming? Most fans did not
Spoilers for 'Snowpiercer' Season 1 Episode 4 'Without Their Maker'
TNT's post-apocalyptic drama 'Snowpiercer' has reached a twist in its road and it's a surprise that most of the fans did not see coming. The show has had us on tenterhooks from the very beginning but in Episode 4 'Without Their Maker', we get a surprise that's going to escalate the thrilling story of the show to a whole new level.
In the episode, Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) finally uncovers the identity of the Snowpiercer killer and concludes his mission. But instead of sending him back to the Tail, Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly) drugs him and puts him in a drawer because she realizes that he has figured out her secret.
It's a pretty big twist and most fans were completely blindsided by it. The show's official Twitter page put up a poll asking fans whether they saw the twist coming or not and as of the writing of this article, 58.4% voted "No".
One fan wrote on Twitter, "#Snowpiercer NOOOOO! NO WAY! Why you got to do my boy dirty like that!"
"SO WE REALLY DID THIS TO LAYTON?! Woooooooowwwww #Snowpiercer," another fan tweeted.
"Oh dear, someone's been drawered," yet another fan wrote. "But it's ok, sure it'll be a total secret like everything else on the Train."
Of course, not all the fans were surprised and a good 41.6% voted "Yes". One of those perceptive fans tweeted, "It was only a matter of who was gonna put him there... now I gotta wait 7 days to see how Layton gets outta this mess! #Snowpiercer"
In any case, 'Snowpiercer' does seem to be getting better with each new episode and those who initially criticized the show because of comparisons to the movie are also coming around. One Twitter user who is a fan of both the film and the series commented, "Snowpiercer the movie is one of my favorite movies. I was excited for the show but I didn’t realize I would end up loving the show as much as I love the movie."
'Snowpiercer' Season 1 airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on TNT.
