The fire of revolution that has been building since the beginning of TNT's 'Snowpiercer' Season 1 is about to engulf the train. With her position, power, and life in danger, Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly) is about to get very desperate and there's no telling what she might do to save her skin.

In Episode 7 'The Universe is Indifferent', Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) made his final move, revealing to LJ Folger (Annalise Basso) that Mr Wilford isn't on the train and Melanie has just been using his name to control things from behind the scenes. With that, First Class has the last push they needed to turn on Melanie and start their coup but that's only a distraction from the real threat of a revolution by the lower classes.

The one trump card that Melanie still has is that Miles (Jaylin Fletcher) is now an engineer and therefore the perfect hostage to try and get Layton to stand down. But before her death, Josie Wellstead (Katie McGuinness) did give Miles an undisclosed task to complete so maybe Melanie's plan could turn on her in the end.

Right now, Layton is driven by his grief and anger and his rage may just burn the whole train down. He's also got Brakeman Bess Till (Mickey Sumner) on his side now so that's going to help the revolutionaries from Third Class and the Tail to get past all the doors that stop them.

All the secrets that Melanie has worked so hard to hide, all the machinations and manipulations are about to come crashing down on her head and there's no telling what she might do in such a desperate situation. Plus, with Commander Grey (Timothy V. Murphy) siding with the Folgers and their little coup, she might not even have the armed force she needs to crush the revolution.

Things do not look good for Melanie but they definitely look great for Layton and the revolution. The final battle for control of Snowpiercer has begun and one way or another, the fate of humanity will be decided by the time the dust settles.

'Snowpiercer' airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on TNT.
