Ryan Reynolds' untitled time travel movie: Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about Shawn Levy's Skydance project

If you can't wait for Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy's movie 'Free Guy' to hit cinema halls, here's another good news. The actor-director duo is also teaming up for another untitled time-travel adventure project for Skydance.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the script is being reconfigured from a previous version of a project known as 'Our Name Is Adam'. Earlier, Tom Cruise's name was attached to it, which was initially scripted by TS Nowlin. 

Release date

The official release date has not been announced yet. The movie is still in talks as of now. Moreover, both Reynolds and Levy have packed schedules. Reynolds has several movies up for release and Levy is prepping for the upcoming release of the fourth season of 'Stranger Things'. Watch this space for the latest updates.  

Plot

The movie revolves around a man who travels back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self. Together, they encounter their late father, who is now the same age as the man. While the character names have not been revealed yet, Ryan Reynolds stars as the leading man.

Ryan Reynolds is all set to star in the untitled project. Reportedly, Reynolds will star as a man who travels back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self. Together, they encounter their late father, who is now the same age as Reynolds.

The actor, best known for his role in 'Deadpool', has starred in movies like 'National Lampoon's Van Wilder' (2002), 'Waiting...' (2005), and 'The Proposal' (2009).

His stint in 'Deadpool' and 'Deadpool 2' got him nominations at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globe Awards. Not just that, he was also awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017.

Shawn Levy will direct the project and he will also produce it alongside Reynolds and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger. Meanwhile, Jonathan Tropper — who worked with Levy on the 2014 dramedy 'This Is Where I Leave You' — will write the script.
