Kody and Meri Brown's marriage has been on the rocks for a long time but the couple has been trying their best to make the relationship work. In the latest episode (April 5), Kody and Meri decided to go to their counselor Nancy in the hopes that they could talk and work out the relationship.

The pair had been visiting Nancy for one-and-a-half years but it was not bringing out the result like they had hoped for. The two sat together and Meri said that that they had not been working hard enough. She pointed out that any relationship is like a muscle that needs to be used to make sure that it is working.

She pointed out that the muscle in their relationship was not working. Despite this, she agreed that they were trying to be kind to each other. However, Kody had a different view. He revealed that nothing was working and their relationship was still in a bad place.

He pointed out that one of the problems that he has with Meri is how she fails to create a strong bond with her family members but manages to have a good relationship with everyone outside the family. Kody revealed that he is someone who values family a lot and at this point, he wants to figure out the relationship everyone has with each other.

He further revealed that Meri mourns the relationship that they had but he said, "I regret what we had." He admitted that a lot had changed but added that it was because Meri always likes to play the victim card. While Meri disagreed, he continued to point out how she is a person who needs to heal and that he had tried to help her for a long time.

He revealed that he could not be her Jesus and it was important for her to solve her own problems and then put an effort into making the relationship work. He further added that they got married too soon and that did not give them enough time to figure out their relationship. He also hinted that he felt deceived after marrying as the marriage turned out to be something that he did not think.

Kody made it clear that he has reached a point where he does not want to hear that he is wrong because he does not think that he has committed any mistakes. He pointed out how there was a time when he thought that he was ready to wash his hands and set himself free of the relationship but due to moral values he decided to work on it instead.

He also blamed Meri for his bitterness while hinting that there is not a lot that they could do in the relationship. Despite this, Nancy decided to help the pair out and asked them to do an activity. While the activity helped them understand each other better, we wonder if it would yield any positive results.

'Sister Wives' airs on Sundays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
