'RHONJ's Dolores Catania reveals she is 'down 20 pounds' after using Ozempic
The star of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Dolores Catania, discussed her weight loss journey with The U.S. Sun, shedding light on the progress she's achieved since beginning treatment with Ozempic and Mounjaro, FDA-approved medications for individuals with type 2 diabetes.
"I've lost 20 pounds," she revealed to the outlet, outlining her target weight as "in the low 130s." Remaining pragmatic, she added, "I'm at 137 right now. When I started, I was 157."
Catania confessed that she had previously been "putting on weight every month," reaching a peak of 163 lbs. before embarking on the medication regimen and witnessing some positive changes.
"It's not an overnight transformation. It's not effortless," she emphasized.
The Bravo personality initially received a prescription for Ozempic, utilizing the medication for two years before transitioning to Mounjaro earlier this year.
"I started with Ozempic, paused, and then switched to Mounjaro," she clarified. "Both medications were prescribed to me medically due to my insulin resistance/pre-diabetic condition and thyroid complications."

'RHONJ' star Dolores is known for her candidness with her social media followers.
Recently, she took to her Instagram platform to address inquiries regarding her 'refreshed' appearance at the People's Choice Awards. True to her transparent nature, she shared details of the procedure she underwent.
She explained that she had noticed some sagging around her temples and upper cheeks, which made her feel more fatigued-looking. Opting for a solution, she underwent a procedure that took about an hour and didn't require 'any general anesthesia'.
Instead, she was given relaxing pills and had her temple areas numbed, a process akin to getting fillers. Dolores explained how she slept through the procedure without experiencing any pain and felt fine the next day, forgoing pain medication altogether.
Although she had bruising for approximately two weeks, she was able to resume her usual activities within three days, comfortably wearing her hair down and sunglasses.
